and here is what I did with it:
getting ready for the oven.
I've been waiting every day for the UPS man to bring me my amazon splurg of cookie sheets so I could save my tomato harvest that I brought up during the move. Since I can't eat them, I decided to slice them up, add some black lava salt and pepper, and pop them into the oven at 150 degrees for six hours. Making it through without popping one into my mouth between slicing was painful. I want to pack them in oil, but apparently they will go bad before my fast is over....? So I'm freezing these bad boys instead.
unless.
do you have a better idea?
how long would they last in a dry state in the pantry?

ps: next year I'm tempted to plant german heirloom tomatoes exclusively. I might be in love.
