11 more days until birthday cake, but until then.
here are the memories I carry from my celebration around the sun.
seattle. Ferry. Best friend, her adorable babes and gracious hubs came to visit. We didn't try the ferris wheel, but I did go on a miracle round- the first time since I was 8. They confirmed my ghost flushes the toilet, and some of his other cute habits are not in my head. And, with experience in the matter, they were able to identify all my fruit trees. What? I have cherry trees too? YAY!
Eli, and his gorgeous mum, taking the ferry with me, her husband and oldest son, Mason, looking out elsewhere.
Josef, up to his silly tricks....and the depressing realization that this is entertainment while my partner is away...
and speaking of mr. husband, he sent these gorgeous ladies-
...along with some gorgeous stones, including my favorite, citrine.
the best birthday gift, however, was a letter from him. He was standing outside in the cold, welcoming his old friend autumn, and asked me to make time to head outside in the morning chill and feel the change weaving through our days.
that man.
i've known him almost my entire life, and I'm still amazed that I get to 'do life' with him.
sunset on the ferry. 26? We can do this. We can do this well.
